Pontoon Sign

A very unique project Bear Metal Works did last year was for the new Mutual Riverfront Park on Hamburg St. near the Buffalo River. This project came to us with an idea and a sketch and Bear Metal made it happen. A damaged pontoon from the yearly ice boom in the river was given to us to fabricate out of. We patched up and welded the damaged areas, picked up the pontoon and welded it onto a steel channel, then laser cut a sign with the parks name on it out of aluminum diamond plate and welded that on. We then were given old wooden oars to attach to the bottom of the channel and let the pontoon sit outside to give it a very rusted look.
