Denler Stainless took on a very precise and date driven job for the new Uniland building at 250 Delaware Ave., and got it done. This custom stainless steel frame for the "Bio Wall" in the lobby of the building had to be measured and fabricated to perfectly fit the wood and drywall that was put up. Custom pieces were made to fit the radius along the top while being installed on a man lift twenty-feet in the air. These pieces had to be secure enough and held in place by tabs and screws into the buildings drywall/wood. We then cut out spots for the outlets where lights/water will be hooked up to keep the plants fresh and healthy. Along the sides, we fabricated panels that would have the seams line up with the finished wood pieces going throughout the lobby. At each seam we trimmed them off with thin stainless pieces to cover up, leave no gaps and will ensure no rust and an easy clean up for maintenance. This "Bio Wall" is complete with living plants and vines etc. Also, in front of the building, Denler Stainless fabricated and polished five custom concrete post caps for the barrier outside the building. This gave the building a unique and eye-catching appearance rather than regular concrete posts. These pipes were unpolished to begin with and after welding the caps on top we made sure they looked great with the shiny grain look of a #4 polish. Denler Stainles and Bear Den Services can now say they had a part in creating Buffalo's newest and most exciting building that should be open soon!
