Bear Metal recently completed these custom steel doors for the Weitsman Luxury Suite at the Syracuse University Carrier Dome. This was a first for us as we have never fabricated doors to this magnitude and were thrilled with how they came out! Working with the design team and contractor on site we fabricated a set of double wide doors for the entry to the suite and a single wide door for the bathroom entry. These doors had a 2'' steel tube frame to be hung from and were made out of 2''x3'' steel tubing. We fabricated custom boxes for the door hardware and milled out the tubes for the hinges to sit flush. We used 1/2'' sq bar for the ribbed obscure glass to sit in and be glazed to. This glass was picked out by the customer to give privacy but also a modern look. These doors were sand blasted and powder coated a Jet Black color as well.
